1️⃣ News

The Maze: Amazon India is matching creators with brand campaigns, tying rewards to eligible clicks and purchases as it rolls out Creator Connections in phases.
Access starts with the most engaged creators and 50,000 advertisers expected at launch; the 165,000 figure covers Amazon's wider Influencer Program.
Creators receive campaign matches or browse opportunities, then use affiliate links that connect recommendations to eligible engagement and purchases.
The existing affiliate model already pays on qualifying purchases, while campaign matching gives brands a more direct route to relevant creators.
Why it matters: Brands gain a route from creator attention to Amazon sales, but the real test is extra profit after campaign costs, not simply more attributed purchases.
2️⃣ News

The Maze: Shopee is adding one-hour groceries and pharmacist consultations in Thailand, bringing urgent household needs into an app built around marketplace shopping.
Instant Mart offers groceries from Big C, Lotus’s, Tops and other stores with advertised free delivery and no minimum spend.
The initial rollout covers Bangkok and selected Thai cities, with delivery dependent on area, participating stores and hours.
Telepharmacy connects shoppers with licensed pharmacists before partner pharmacies supply medicines, giving Shopee another route into recurring local demand.
Why it matters: Frequent household orders could make Shopee a daily habit, while local partners do the fulfillment work; their fees and delivery economics remain undisclosed.
3️⃣ News

The Maze: eBay UK has removed PayPal from Royal Mail label payments, pushing sellers toward eBay funds and a backup payment method while Simple Delivery stays unchanged.
From September 7, Royal Mail labels bought on eBay UK require available eBay funds, with a saved payment method needed if the balance falls short.
An eBay staff clarification says the remaining amount goes to the preferred stored method and charges appear as label transactions on the payments page.
Sellers who used PayPal exports should review reconciliation before their next dispatch batch; buying postage elsewhere may also change access to additional label benefits.
Why it matters: The postage service stays the same, but its payment route changes: sellers must weigh accounting work and applicable label protections before switching.
4️⃣ Insight

The Maze: In a global survey of 283 marketing chiefs, 96% see AI transformation, but only 31% report agentic execution: broad confidence masks very different operating habits.
Executive expectations rose for 94%, making it essential to define whether AI must improve output, decision speed or commercial results.
The 31% executing includes 23% with human oversight and just 8% with minimal or none, so useful autonomy need not mean removing people.
The remaining 69% orchestrate steps across workflows, automate within them or assist with tasks, making the next question how far a system carries work toward action.
Why it matters: Judge adoption by the decisions and workflows that change, then measure their commercial results; this survey does not prove that autonomy raises returns.
5️⃣ Insight

The Maze: Amazon marketplace sales grow faster in five categories, but food units tell a different story: the selling model alone cannot explain who is winning demand.
Marketplace sales growth leads in all five categories, including roughly 17% versus minus 6% for baby care, using approximate source readings.
Food flips on units: Amazon retail grows about 42% versus marketplace’s 30%, even though marketplace dollar growth is faster.
Marketplace sellers include brands, distributors and resellers, so these category totals cannot show who caused the growth.
Why it matters: Measure Amazon retail and marketplace demand together, then identify the sellers: faster category growth alone cannot prove reseller leakage or brand weakness.
6️⃣ Insight

The Maze: Poland's real hourly wages rose 16.5% from Q1 2021 to Q1 2026, beating the OECD average by 11.6 points as several Western markets stalled.
Poland: +16.5%, versus the OECD average at +4.9%.
Germany reached +0.9% and France +0.1%; the euro area remained at -1.8%.
Sweden fell 4.8% and Italy 6.1% from their Q1 2021 real-wage levels.
Why it matters: Europe is not one consumer cycle. Retailers should localize assortment, price ladders, and demand plans around purchasing-power recovery.
OECD measures CPI-deflated hourly wages. Statistics Poland reported 2.5% annual inflation in June 2026.
